human emotions
Video performance
2016 – ongoing

I waited until a moment that I was vulnerable and filmed myself while I was crying. This is something that shows us at our most honest and most vulnerable. Every time I cried it was because of a different feeling. From exhaustion to nostalgia to happiness. But I waited until there was a genuine feeling producing these tears.

This ongoing work explores human emotions. Not from an abstract point of view, but rather from a very real and crude perspective. Life has all these emotions, and while nostalgia, exhaustion and frustration might have been a part of mine, I know that everyone else experiences emotions as these as well throughout their life.

I want the spectator to think about their own life, their own struggles and emotions when they see these performances. About what their own tears have represented for them. And what emotions lie behind them.
